Trudi Brown, MD, FACS – JMBCC Medical Director
With more than 28 years of surgical experience, Dr. Brown specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant breast diseases. She performs stereotactic and ultrasound guided core biopsies as well as lumpectomy, mastectomy, nipple sparing mastectomy, oncoplastic surgery, and sentinel lymph node biopsy.
Dr. Brown received her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia and completed general surgery residency at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
In Ohio, she was employed at University Hospital’s Parma Medical Center and there developed an interest and specialization in the treatment of both benign and malignant breast disease. While at Parma, she served as the Division Director of General Surgery for the last 10 years and was an active member of the Cancer Committee at The Seidman Cancer Center. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and an active member of the American College of Surgeons as well as the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Paramjeet Kaur, MD, FACS – Breast Surgeon
Dr. Kaur is accepting new patients at the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center. A fellowship-trained breast surgeon with more than 15 years of experience, she specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant breast diseases. Her surgical expertise includes skin-sparing and nipple-areola-sparing mastectomies, breast-conserving surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy, oncoplastic techniques, and stereotactic and ultrasound-guided procedures.
Dr. Kaur received her medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Aligarh, India. She completed a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, followed by general surgery residencies at Marshall University/Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and Easton Hospital in Pennsylvania, and a general surgery internship at Guthrie Clinic/Robert Packer Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
Dr. Kaur has practiced as a breast surgeon in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Florida, and New Jersey, and previously served as Medical Director of Breast Surgery at several institutions. She is committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive breast care and guiding patients through diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.

Tracey Eckenrod, CRNP
As a nurse practitioner, Tracey Eckenrod provides follow-up care for patients with breast problems, diseases, and cancers, as well as educates patients about the importance of early detection, prevention, and screening. Eckenrod is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She obtained her Master of Science with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner from Carlow University, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Eckenrod is also a graduate of Conemaugh School of Nursing. Since becoming a nurse practitioner, in addition to breast care, Eckenrod has acquired a broad range of experience in family practice, geriatrics, long term care, personal care, hospice, and wound care. She also has 20 years of experience as a registered nurse in the critical care setting.

Carrie Metzgar, CRNP
As a nurse practitioner, Carrie Metzgar provides follow-up care for patients with breast problems, diseases, and cancers, as well as educates patients about the importance of early detection, prevention, and screening. Metzgar is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. Metzgar is also a graduate of Conemaugh School of Nursing. Prior to practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at an internal medicine office, Metzgar spent 15 years as a registered nurse in a variety of settings, including telemetry, obstetrics, mother-baby, and perioperative care.
