America’s veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to protect our freedom, and we at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber believe it is never too late – or never too often – to acknowledge and thank them. VeteranCare┬« recognizes and acknowledges veterans within our hospital, as well as, in our home care and hospice programs. Pennsylvania is one of only five states in the country that is home to over one million veterans of the armed forces, which includes a dense population near our facility.

We believe that we are uniquely positioned to enhance the inpatient and out patient care for veterans with our philosophy of care that embraces healing the mind, body, and spirit. We have customized our patient-centered care to honor and thank our military veterans. Each veteran will be uniquely recognized for their service with a certificate honoring military service and a VeteranCare® pin. This allows everyone who interacts with the patient to thank them for their service. It is an honor to care for veterans and extend thanks and appreciation to those who have been willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in protecting our country. We are truly proud to serve those who have served. To find out how you can be honored as part of our VeteranCare® program, please visit any of our hospital registration desks.

Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber is honored and proud to serve those who have served.
