Timothy Horsky, DO
Board Certified in General Surgery

Timothy Horsky, DO is a highly skilled general surgeon who is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. Bringing with him 25 years of extensive surgical experience, Dr. Horsky is adept in a wide range of general surgical procedures such as gall bladder, hernia, and intestinal surgery and also has experience in performing upper and lower GI endoscopy, bronchoscopy, pacemaker insertion, as well as the insertion of subcutaneous and cardiac loop recorders and AICD devices.

Before embarking on his medical career, Dr. Horsky served as a paramedic for a decade, driven by a deep desire to help others. He pursued his medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he completed both his osteopathic rotating internship and general surgery residency. Further honing his expertise, he completed a cardiothoracic surgery residency at the prestigious Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey.

Dr. Horsky’s career has been marked by various surgical roles across the United States, most recently at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center and UPMC Bedford. In addition to his clinical practice, he is dedicated to educating the next generation of healthcare providers, serving as a Clinical Preceptor for the Physician Assistant Student Program at Saint Francis University and as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine

Hugo Villanueva, MD
Board Certified in General Surgery

Hugo Villanueva, MD is a fellowship-trained minimally invasive surgeon specializing in bariatric and foregut surgery. He provides comprehensive general surgical care with an emphasis on minimally invasive approaches. He brings an impressive skill set in both laparoscopic and robotic techniques, contributing to our commitment to comprehensive and modern surgical care.

Dr. Villanueva’s expertise comes from a robust experience of over 1,000 procedures performed during his fellowship. His bariatric training alone comprises over 300 cases, including more than 200 Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgeries. Furthermore, he has significant experience with lesser-known bariatric procedures such as BPD-DS (biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch) and SADI-S (single-anastomosis duodeno-ileostomy with sleeve gastrectomy). His training also includes revisions and conversions of prior unsuccessful bariatric surgeries. Additionally, he has advanced endoscopic training, having performed hundreds of endoscopic procedures including dilation and stenting.

Dr. Villanueva’s extensive foregut training also allows him to provide comprehensive surgical care for esophageal reflux diseases, which include repair of hiatal hernias, fundoplications, and LINX procedures. His competence in minimally invasive methods also covers the insertion of enteral feeding tubes.

Dr. Villanueva earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. He completed his minimally invasive bariatric and foregut surgery fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center. He is board certified in general surgery.

Bringing more than seven years of specialized training, Dr. Villanueva is poised to provide compassionate, comprehensive, and proficient treatment for his patients.
