CSSMCW’s Physical Therapy Department is conveniently located within the hospital in the heart of Windber, PA. Our experienced and friendly staff will work with you to prepare a patient-centered, quality individualized plan of care to aid in your recovery and returning to your prior lifestyle.

The Windber Physical Therapy Department provides our patients with unparalleled resources to help them regain movement. Patients have access to highly-trained experienced therapists, the best equipment, access to all of HealthStyles Fitness Center’s exercise programs and equipment, and a host of specialized services that are available nowhere else in our region.

Staff

Tom Anders, PT, OCS, CSCS , ITPTDirector of Rehab Services, Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist

Tom has been a physical therapist at CSSMCW since 2004, practicing primarily in orthopedics. He is a graduate of St. Francis University and has been an orthopedic clinical specialist since 2010. Tom has a passion for treating the orthopedic and sports population and he serves as a residency mentor for the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program through Saint Francis University. He also has been a certified strength and conditioning specialist since 2003. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing golf, weight training, and watching sports.

Elizabeth Damiano, PT, DPTStaff Physical Therapist

Elizabeth is a 2020 graduate of Saint Francis University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program where she also earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science and a minor in Exercise Physiology. She enjoys treating a variety of patients with orthopedic, sports, and neurologic conditions with an interest in manual therapy. Outside of work, Liz enjoys being outdoors, exercising, skiing, reading, and traveling with her husband.

Cory specializes in Outpatient Physical Therapy and Neurological Rehabilitation.

Ronald specializes in Inpatient Care, Orthopedics, and Manual Therapy.

Samantha Kollar, PT, DPTStaff Physical Therapist

Sam, a full-time, licensed physical therapist, joined the pediatric team at CSSMCW in 2022. From a small town in Cambria County, Sam graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, then received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Chatham University. She currently has experience working all pediatric settings, including school-based therapy, outpatient, and early intervention. Her primary focus and passion is working with the 0-3 year age group to help them set the foundation of lifelong skills and opportunities. Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with her niece and nephew, traveling with friends, outdoors with her dog Knox, and supporting her favorite Pittsburgh sports teams.

Taylor Miller, PT, DPTStaff Physical Therapist

Taylor is a graduate from the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at West Virginia University in 2020. Taylor has been a physical therapist at CSSMCW since 2020, practicing primarily within outpatient orthopedics and inpatient care. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and dogs; playing tennis; and snowboarding.

Tonya McCool, PT, DPT, PCSBoard Certified Pediatric Specialist, Early Intervention Supervisor

Tonya is a full-time, licensed physical therapist who received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chatham University and previously received her bachelor’s degree in health science from Mount Aloysius College. She is a board-certified pediatric specialist in physical therapy since 2022. Tonya specializes in Pediatric Physical Therapy,  Early Intervention and Neurological Rehabilitation. When not at the clinic, you will often find Tonya spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, or participating in community events.

Megan Painter, DPTStaff Physical Therapist

Megan specializes in Pediatric Physical Therapy, Orthopedics, Neurological Rehabilitation, and Vestibular Rehabilitation.

Julia Simko, PT, DPTStaff Physical Therapist

Julia graduated with her DPT from Saint Francis University in 2013 and has been practicing as an orthopedic focused therapist at CSSMCW.  She enjoys working with sports and orthopedic diagnoses to help return her patients to an active lifestyle.  Outside of work, she and her husband are avid travelers and enjoy running, weight training, skiing, and golf.

Mandi Golden, PTAPhysical Therapist Assistant

Mandi graduated from Mount Aloysius in 2011 as a Physical Therapist’s Assistant. She has been a PTA at CSSMCW since 2017 working primarily in the outpatient setting. Mandi is also a Licensed Massage Therapist.  Outside of work, Mandi enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters on their farm.
