CSSMCW Richland Physical Therapy & Sports Performance Clinic is conveniently located in the heart of Richland, PA. Our experienced and friendly staff will work with you to prepare a patient-centered, quality individualized plan of care to aid in your recovery and returning to your prior lifestyle.
Our goal is to help you regain movement to parts of your body that have been restricted by injury, illness, surgery, or over-use. Services include, but are not limited to:
Athletes from the local and surrounding areas are invited to join our convenient Richland Sports Performance Clinic location offering state-of-the-art strength training and cardio equipment. The sports performance center aims to prepare athletes for the physical challenges of their sport by improving overall athleticism as well as sport specific skills. We also want to improve the functionality and quality of life in the other members of our local and surrounding communities, and we have several types of specialized fitness classes to help us accomplish our goal.
The Richland Sports Performance Clinic offers a variety of unique state-of-the-art equipment to prepare athletes for the physical demands of their sports. Some of our functional equipment includes:
Sports Performance Application
Tom has been a physical therapist at CSSMCW since 2004, practicing primarily in orthopedics. He is a graduate of St. Francis University and has been an orthopedic clinical specialist since 2010. Tom has a passion for treating the orthopedic and sports population and he serves as a residency mentor for the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program through Saint Francis University. He also has been a certified strength and conditioning specialist since 2003. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing golf, weight training, and watching sports.
Remi earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2019. Prior to working at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber, Remi worked as a Physical Therapist in the outpatient orthopedic setting, Sports Performance Coach, and Personal Trainer. Remi is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist as recognized through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Alycia, and his son, Eli, resistance training, running, and cooking.
Sean is a staff physical therapist at the Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber’s Richland Physical Therapy and Sports Performance Clinic. Sean’s mission as a physical therapist is to collaborate with his patients to create treatment plans with an emphasis on evidence-based interventions and strong, open communication to help restore their quality of life to the highest level. He specializes in working with athletes who have a goal of returning to barbell training and sports. He graduated from Saint Francis University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Sean has completed an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program through Saint Francis University and is a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist through The American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He serves as a residency mentor for the Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency program at Saint Francis University. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his family, following the Steelers, and training in the gym.
Andrea earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University and her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Mount Aloysius College. She worked at Somerset Hospital at the start of her career and helped clients in post cardiac rehabilitation, post bariatric surgery, inpatient and outpatient physical rehabilitation programs, and also helped the local high school with their strength and conditioning programs. Additionally, she worked in the D.C. Metropolitan area for 4 years where she worked with athletes of all levels as well as the general population while also pursuing a certification in Manual Trigger Point Therapy. Since 2020, she has been a part of the physical therapy team at CSS Medical Center at Windber, and she looks forward to providing the utmost care at the Richland PT Clinic.
Julia graduated from the Sport & Exercise Science undergraduate and graduate programs at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has been working as an Exercise Physiologist at CSSMCW’s Conemaugh Valley PT Clinic & Fitness since 2021. She started working as a personal trainer in 2018 and has worked with clients of all ages as well as those with disabilities, and she also taught group classes. After completing her degrees under the Strength and Conditioning track, she obtained her CSCS certification and is looking forward to using her knowledge and experience at the Richland Sports Performance Clinic. Her goal is to help athletes and the general population improve their athleticism and achieve the results they want by implementing scientifically proven training methods. Outside of work, she enjoys training in the gym, volunteering at the Humane Society of Cambria County, playing the piano, and spending time with her fiancé and pets.
Kyrsten earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise & Sport Science from Frostburg State University, where she also played on the women’s basketball team. She then earned her Master’s degree in Sport Performance from Lebanon Valley College. She began her coaching career as an intern at FSU, and continued on as a sports performance coach at Power Train and graduate assistant strength & conditioning coach at LVC. Additionally, she has spent time coaching young athletes through basketball and performance training workouts. She loves working with athletes and her goal is to to help clients of all ages improve their performance and hit their goals, by using effective training methods in a safe and productive way. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys fishing, training in the gym, and spending time with her family, boyfriend, and pets.
