As a patient in the Emergency Department, you will be treated by a team of highly skilled individuals who work closely together to deliver the highest level of care. We are here for you 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year to help you feel better. Our main goal is to provide effective care to all patients in the Windber and Johnstown area, from newborn to geriatric. We provide initial treatment for a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be life-threatening and require immediate attention. We are the Emergency Room Near you!

To accurately diagnose your condition, the physician may order labs tests, x-rays, or CT scans. The length of your visit will depend on the tests ordered. Patients with minor illnesses or injuries may be seen and discharged in one to two hours. More complicated cases that involve several tests can take as long as four-to-five hours to complete.

At the end of your evaluation, you will either be admitted or discharged. If discharged, you will receive any prescriptions needed, instructions on how to care for your condition at home, and information on your follow-up care.
