As a patient in our Emergency Department, you’ll be cared for by a coordinated team of highly skilled clinicians, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We treat patients of all ages in Windber and communities near Johnstown, providing rapid evaluation and initial treatment for a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including life-threatening conditions that need immediate attention. When minutes matter, think of us as the emergency room near you, focused on effective, compassionate care.

To diagnose your condition, your physician may order lab tests, X-rays, or CT scans; visit length depends on what’s required. Many minor issues are treated within one to two hours, while complex cases that need multiple tests can take four to five hours. Throughout your visit, we’ll keep you informed about next steps and timing. After your evaluation, you’ll either be admitted for further care or safely discharged with prescriptions (if needed), clear home-care instructions, and guidance for follow-up.
