JMBCC Receives $400 Donation from Hiram G. Andrews student fundraiser

In keeping with their passion for community service and fundraising activities, Commonwealth Technical Institute at Hiram G. Andrews Center students and staff were on hand recently to present a $400 donation to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center.

Kimberly Oleksa, Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber Development & Fundraising Coordinator, accepted the donation. Also pictured are staff members from the Center’s Recreation Department and six students who were highly involved in fundraising efforts.

In October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, goods produced by students were sold at Hiram G. Andrews Center with proceeds going toward this donation. From pink ribbon cookies to hand-made bracelets, a wide array of items were sold.
