Internal Medicine Physician

Internal Medicine/Family Practice Physician

We are seeking an Internal and or Family Medicine trained provider to join us in pursuit of high quality patient care to provide full scope of primary care services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance. Examines, diagnosis, prescribes and administers quality, evidence-based health care to patients.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Physician.
  • Active Pennsylvania Medical License in good standing upon effective date of employment.
  • Supervises Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in care management, clinical standards and procedures as needed including sign-off on charts, co-signatures for forms and prescriptions.
  • Meets Quality of Care (Quality Measures) and participates in Peer Review.
  • Completion/Documentation of EHR/Medical records, coding and signing of charts within the designated time set by the organization
  • Communicates effectively with the clinical team to insure total delivery of quality care.
  • Participates in medical staff educational programs and meetings.

Education & Experience

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of four year post graduate medical training from an accredited residency program in area of practice (e.g., family practice or internal medicine).

Athletic Trainer – North Star

North Star Position

This position is responsible for providing Athletic Training Services to student athletes at a local school district under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, team physician, or by written referral from a physician, and in accordance with state athletic training practice act. Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in a health-related field with current Board of Certification Inc. certification required. One-to-two years related experience and/or training preferred. Entry level graduates with BOC certification will be considered.

CNA – Hospice Home Care

This position is responsible for providing basic patient nursing care and select services to patients within their home setting. This position is responsible for providing for the patient’s needs and comfort. High school diploma or GED and Completion of a Nurse Aide training course required. Valid Pa Nurse Aide certification, current CPR certification and valid PA drivers’ license required. This position is Monday-Friday day shift with minimal after hours and weekend work required.

Financial Counselor – Patient Accounting

This position is the patient’s point of contact for financial assistance related questions. The Financial Counselor takes appropriate action to identify and verify patient’s financial liability, analyzes patient insurance coverage, researches probability of coverage based on known criteria, provides information for patients in need of financial assistance, collects payments, sets up payment arrangements as appropriate, creates estimates and advises patients in person and over the phone on their insurance benefits and coverage. Perform patient accounting functions related to self-pay and client billing. High school diploma required. Certificate/diploma in Medical Billing/Coding preferred.

Housekeeper

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Medical Center by, cleaning, gathering municipal and infectious waste, and supplying linens for patient care. Also responsible for outside maintenance of grounds and ensuring aseptic conditions in all patient care areas. High school diploma and 2 years experience in hospital setting preferred. Buffing, rinse VAC and scrubbing machine experience preferred.

CSS Medical Center at Windber is seeking full-time positions in the WindberCare Physician practice in Richland. Duties include: assisting physician with all aspects of patient needs, phone triage, office visit intake, vital signs, injections, EKG’s, counseling patients with medication and/or prescriptions, perform various office testing as ordered by the physician, scheduling test procedures & obtaining authorizations if needed, process laboratory specimens, maintain patient drug information, maintain office equipment, & perform various clerical functions as needed. Current, valid LPN license or Medical Assistant diploma & CPR certification is required. One year related experience and/or training is preferred.

LPN OR Medical Assistant – WindberCare Surgical Associates

This position is responsible for assisting provider in all aspects of general surgery and bariatric procedures and conditions. Perform all aspects of both front office with clerical duties and all procedures with patients to provide clinical care. Medical Assistant diploma OR LPN license required. Experience in general surgery and bariatrics preferred.

Positions are responsible for performing all Lab testing as authorized by the Lab Manager to include proper procurement of blood, urine & other specimens on all age groups, maintenance of all laboratory equipment, daily quality control of all laboratory departments and reporting & maintaining all laboratory records. Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university in a biology/medical related field or associate’s degree from a 2 year college required. ASCP certified or eligible. Monitor Technician – Wing III

This position is responsible for observation, interpretation, and documentation for inpatients on Wing 3. Communicates the appropriate rhythm trending reports to the primary nurse. Practices in accordance with organizational policies. Graduate of an Allied Health Program, in which the curriculum included education and /or experience in rhythm interpretation or graduate of an accredited Registered/Practical Nursing Program or Bachelors of Medicine required. Prior completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Course or successful completion within 60 days of hire. Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification is preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire.

Patient Accounting Representative / Biller

This position is responsible for ensuring that all bills are filed in a timely and compliant manner with the appropriate payor. This position is responsible for maximizing CSSMCW’s cash flow by following up with insurance companies and patients on unpaid balances. Also the primary contact with patients and is responsible for answering payment questions and resolving payment disputes in a friendly and professional manner. High school diploma or GED required. Certificate/diploma in Medical Billing/Coding preferred.

Patient Care Tech – CNA or LPN – Wing III

This position is responsible for assisting the RN within the realm of the Nurse Assistant certification with respect to any changes with the patient, as well as transcribing orders, scheduling appointments & procedures, desk duties, & answering the phones. Valid Nurse Aide certification or LPN license required. CPR required. All Shifts required.

Phlebotomist

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Laboratory Customer Service tasks. Acts as a clerk for the laboratory and effectively performs specimen collection procedures. This position will travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and off-site draw locations. Must be a graduate of an approved Phlebotomy Training Program and have 1 year experience in a hospital or nursing home environment. Must have geriatric and pediatric skills and be able to perform heelstick on newborns. Computer skills required. Must rotate weekends, shifts and holidays. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, valid registration and insurance.

Radiology Tech

This position, under the direction of the appropriate physician, is responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures using independent judgment. This position is responsible for ensuring high quality radiographic imaging services while maintaining efficient quality control and performance improvement programs as well as compliance with government regulations. Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a radiologic technologist program required. Current, valid American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration required. CT imaging experience a plus or willingness to cross-train. CPR certification preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Surgery

This position is responsible for providing nursing care in an ambulatory setting and teaching patients the skills necessary to care for themselves at home. This position must be able to meet patient needs effectively and efficiently in medical and surgical areas of nursing and provides direction to other staff members regarding patient care. Minimum Diploma of Nursing required. Current, valid PA RN License required. CPR / BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Dysrhythmia course preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date or enrolled in next available course. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

Registered Nurse – Emergency

This position requires the performance of a variety of duties to provide nursing care effectively and efficiently for individuals in various life stages. Part Time Positions

Aide – Dining Services

This position is responsible for being part of the meal service provisions provided by Dining Services & Nutrition. Responsible to deliver meals to patient floors as well as conference rooms, serves food to patients, cafeteria customers and catered events. Maintains proper portion control and food temperatures, operates the cash register and exhibits proper customer service.

Bariatric Coordinator

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the continual growth and development of the hospital’s bariatric program and uphold the requirements of the facilities accreditation from the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. The MBS Coordinator assists the center development, managing the accreditation process and ensuring continuous compliance with MBSAQIP requirements, maintains relevant policies and procedures, patient education, outcomes data collections, quality improvement efforts and education of relevant staff in the various aspects of the metabolic and bariatric surgery patient with a focus on patient safety. The MBS coordinator supports the development of written protocols and education of nurses detailing the rapid communication and basic responses to critical vital signs that is specifically required to minimize delays in the diagnosis and treatment of serious adverse events. Other responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: clinical care and education of the pre and postoperative patient, facilitation and coordination of monthly seminars and support groups, staff training and education. The coordinator will also have a primary role in the acquisition of new patients, program patient volume analysis, marketing, outreach, and community awareness of the program. The Bariatric Coordinator works in conjunction with the physician’s office staff and the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Clinical Reviewer. Valid Registered Nurse license required. Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university is preferred. Certification/training in bariatric program management will be required. CPR Certification required.
