This position has the responsibility of meeting the needs of surgical patients effectively and efficiently by assisting in patient care while in the surgical suite. Patient care includes age and case specific needs of all elective and emergency surgeries while performing routine and delegated duties. This position also includes performing the sterilization process of instrumentation and maintaining adequate supplies as needed. The surgical assistant may function as First assistant under the direct supervision of the attending surgeon after finishing school. Diploma from accredited school of surgical Technology required. Surgical Technology certification required within six months of graduation. CPR certification preferred, but required within 6 months of hire. Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.
This position must assume responsibility of meeting patient needs effectively and efficiently by applying complete nursing care to assigned patients. Care must be provided through all life stages of ages in medical, surgical, and telemetry areas of nursing. This position is responsible for coordination of activities at the Palliative Care Unit including assisting with transcribing physician orders efficiently and in a timely manner and acting as a communication link between patients, families, physicians, and Hospice team members. Also, responsible for correct charge entry of Hospice services, supporting the Hospice secretary with intake, data collection, and explanation of the Hospice Program. CNA or medical assistant degree and certification required. CPR Certification required. One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is responsible for performing all Laboratory testing as authorized by the Laboratory Director to include proper procurement of blood, urine and other specimens on all age groups, maintenance of all laboratory equipment, daily quality control of all laboratory departments and reporting and maintaining all laboratory records. The section supervisor is also responsible for the oversight of a designated department including instrument maintenance, procedure manuals, problem solving, patient results and verification and acting as a liaison with nursing units and physician offices.
In addition this position in the absence of the Laboratory manager coordinates the day to day operations of the laboratory. This position is responsible for planning, developing and administering occupational therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses with the goal of facilitating the resumption of the patient’s prior life roles through remediation or adaptations to achieve their maximum level of functioning. This position also works in the pediatric clinic. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an OT field required. Current, valid PA OT license required. Valid CPR required. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Laboratory Customer Service tasks. Acts as a clerk for the laboratory and effectively performs specimen collection procedures.
