We are seeking an Internal and/or Family Medicine trained provider to join us in pursuit of high quality patient care to provide full scope of primary care services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance. CSSMCW is seeking a full-time Director of Nursing & Quality. This role is responsible for management of the overall function of all nursing departments while ensuring quality patient care. In addition, this position has oversight of departmental budgets, regulatory & compliance, staff education & competency, patient safety, and clinical quality reporting through Core Measures and patient satisfaction monitoring. Valid PA RN license & Master’s Degree in a Healthcare related field (MSN preferred), or must be willing to obtain within in three years of hire. 5+ years’ experience in healthcare management required, nursing management preferred.
This position is responsible for scheduling out-patients for various departments throughout the facility. The scheduler will follow very specific protocols in scheduling patients including, but not limited to, reviewing physician orders for diagnosis, signature and scheduling instructions, verification of insurance, prior authorization requirements and medical necessity review. The scheduler utilizes customer service skills to assure that patients have all the information they need so that they arrive on time and prepared and all of the information required to bill properly for its services. Graduation from high school or equivalent is required. Completion of a medical terminology course within six months of employment as a scheduler. Two year’s experience in patient scheduling or closely related field. Hospital patient registration or physician office scheduling/patient registration experience preferred. Experience in customer service is desirable.
Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting physician with all aspects of patient needs for the office visit, phone triage, office visit intake, vital signs, injections, EKG’s, counseling patients with medication and/or prescriptions, perform various office testing as ordered by the physician, scheduling test procedures & obtaining authorizations if needed, process laboratory specimens, maintain patient drug information, maintain office equipment, and perform various clerical functions as needed in the day-to-day operation of the office. Current, valid LPN license and CPR certification is required. One year related experience and/or training is preferred.
This position is responsible for clerical duties as well as providing clinical care to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Candidate must be able to schedule appointments for the providers and patients in the office and at the hospital, answer the telephone and properly utilize the answering service, prepare reports and forwarded to appropriate parties, assist with patient clinical needs when they call or when they report to the office and maintain responsibility for records and billing. Graduate of medical assistant program required. Three to six months related experience preferred.
CSS Medical Center at Windber is seeking a full-time Manager for the OR. This position is responsible for overseeing the Operating Room (OR), PACU, & Anesthesia management functions including having proper staffing levels to meet patient & physician needs and provide a positive outcome. This position is also responsible for monitoring employee performance, financial management, & meeting regulatory agency guidelines. Current PA RN license & Operating Room experience required. BSN preferred or must be willing to obtain in three years. ACLS required. 5 years of nursing or related experience in Operating Room/Ambulatory Surgery required. Leadership experience preferred.
This position is responsible for assisting the RN within the realm of the Nurse Assistant certification with respect to any changes with the patient, as well as transcribing orders, scheduling appointments & procedures, desk duties, & answering the phones. Valid Nurse Aide certification or LPN license required. CPR required.

This position will oversee day-to-day operations of WindberCare Physicians at our Richland office including making daily operational decisions, providing effective leadership, hiring and training new staff, timely submission of reports, performance reviews, and accounts payable documentation. Ability to interact with physicians and other health care professionals in a professional manner required. Computer proficiency in Microsoft products required. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills required. LPN or higher certification/licensure preferred. Prior office manager employment in family practice or healthcare required.
This position is responsible for performing all Lab testing as authorized by the Lab Director to include proper procurement of blood, urine & other specimens on all age groups, maintenance of all laboratory equipment, daily quality control of all laboratory departments, and reporting & maintaining all laboratory records. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a biology/medical related field or associate’s degree from a two-year college required. ASCP certified required. Minimum 2 years experience preferred. Must rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must be competent across all Lab areas.
This position has the responsibility of assessing patients at all stages of breast cancer and those at high risk for development of breast cancer; providing clinical care to these patients under direct and indirect physician supervision; utilizing the Gail Model to determine risk status; interviewing patients and completing the appropriate database; following the protocol for the breast cancer vaccine with eligible patients; and, education for all patients who present to the Breast Care Center. Master’s degree from four year college or university required. Current Pennsylvania Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner License required. CPR required.
This entry level position is responsible for answering the helpdesk and documenting messages to ensure accurate and timely attention to numerous issues. This position is also responsible for corrective actions regarding software and operating systems and contacting appropriate individuals regarding hardware issues. This position is also responsible for filing, assisting in ordering, and trouble-shooting problems. Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university in a computer related field required. Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.
TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE
This position is responsible for contributing to patient care and satisfaction through diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical procedures for the Ambulatory Services Unit (ASU). This position is responsible for ensuring patient confidentiality by communicating patient information appropriately. Valid PA LPN license required. IV therapy course and CPR certification preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date. Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.
This position has the responsibility of meeting the needs of surgical patients effectively and efficiently by assisting in patient care while in the surgical suite. Patient care includes age and case specific needs of all elective and emergency surgeries while performing routine and delegated duties. This position also includes performing the sterilization process of instrumentation and maintaining adequate supplies as needed. The surgical assistant may function as First assistant under the direct supervision of the attending surgeon after finishing school. As of May 24, 2010 graduation/certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Diploma from accredited school of surgical Technology required. Surgical Technology certification required within six months of graduation. CPR certification preferred, but required within 6 months of hire. Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.
