Internal Medicine Physician

Internal Medicine/Family Practice Physician

We are seeking an Internal and or Family Medicine trained provider to join us in pursuit of high quality patient care to provide full scope of primary care services including but not limited to diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and health maintenance. Examines, diagnosis, prescribes and administers quality, evidence-based health care to patients.

  • Monday through Friday office hours
  • Outpatient setting only

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Physician.
  • Active Pennsylvania Medical License in good standing upon effective date of employment.
  • Supervises Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in care management, clinical standards and procedures as needed including sign-off on charts, co-signatures for forms and prescriptions.
  • Meets Quality of Care (Quality Measures) and participates in Peer Review.
  • Completion/Documentation of EHR/Medical records, coding and signing of charts within the designated time set by the organization
  • Communicates effectively with the clinical team to insure total delivery of quality care.
  • Participates in medical staff educational programs and meetings.

Education & Experience

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent.
  • Completion of four year post graduate medical training from an accredited residency program in area of practice (e.g., family practice or internal medicine).
  • Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers.

Athletic Trainer – North Star

North Star Position

This position is responsible for providing Athletic Training Services to student athletes at a local school district under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, team physician, or by written referral from a physician, and in accordance with state athletic training practice act. Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in a health-related field with current Board of Certification Inc. certification required. One-to-two years related experience and/or training preferred. Entry level graduates with BOC certification will be considered.

Certified Surgical Assistant

This position has the responsibility of meeting the needs of surgical patients effectively and efficiently by assisting in patient care while in the surgical suite. Patient care includes age and case specific needs of all elective and emergency surgeries while performing routine and delegated duties. This position also includes performing the sterilization process of instrumentation and maintaining adequate supplies as needed. The surgical assistant may function as First assistant under the direct supervision of the attending surgeon after finishing school. Diploma from accredited school of surgical Technology required. Surgical Technology certification required within six months of graduation. CPR certification preferred, but required within 6 months of hire. Three to six months related experience and/or training preferred.

Charge Nurse – Wing III

This position must assume responsibility of meeting patient needs effectively and efficiently by applying complete nursing care to assigned patients. Care must be provided through all life stages of ages in medical, surgical, and telemetry areas of nursing. This position is responsible for the collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team, discharge planning and ensuring and providing direction and oversight to other staff members regarding patient care and adherence to regulatory agency standards. Graduate from an approved school of nursing and minimum diploma of nursing required. Current, valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License required. CPR / BLS, PALS preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Dysrhythmia preferred. Second Shift Position 1-9, 2-10, or 3-11.

CNA – Hospice Home Care

This position is responsible for providing basic patient nursing care and select services to patients within their home setting. This position is responsible for providing for the patient’s needs and comfort. High school diploma or GED and Completion of a Nurse Aide training course required. Valid Pa Nurse Aide certification, current CPR certification and valid PA drivers’ license required. This position is Monday-Friday day shift with minimal after hours and weekend work required.

CRNP – Windber GYN Associates

This position is responsible for meeting patient needs effectively and efficiently by applying medical management of patients that present to Windber GYN Associates. Candidate should be licensed from an accredited nurse practitioner program. CPR required.

Financial Counselor – Patient Accounting

This position is the patient’s point of contact for financial assistance related questions. The Financial Counselor takes appropriate action to identify and verify patient’s financial liability, analyzes patient insurance coverage, researches probability of coverage based on known criteria, provides information for patients in need of financial assistance, collects payments, sets up payment arrangements as appropriate, creates estimates and advises patients in person and over the phone on their insurance benefits and coverage. Perform patient accounting functions related to self-pay and client billing. High school diploma required. Certificate/diploma in Medical Billing/Coding preferred.

Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant – WindberCare Physicians

CSS Medical Center at Windber is seeking a full-time position in the WindberCare Physician practice in Richland. Duties include: assisting physician with all aspects of patient needs, phone triage, office visit intake, vital signs, injections, EKG’s, counseling patients with medication and/or prescriptions, perform various office testing as ordered by the physician, scheduling test procedures & obtaining authorizations if needed, process laboratory specimens, maintain patient drug information, maintain office equipment, & perform various clerical functions as needed. Current, valid LPN license or two years experience working as a Medical Assistant in an office setting & CPR certification is required. One year related experience and/or training is preferred.

Med Tech or Lab Tech

Position is responsible for performing all Lab testing as authorized by the Lab Manager to include proper procurement of blood, urine & other specimens on all age groups, maintenance of all laboratory equipment, daily quality control of all laboratory departments and reporting and maintaining all laboratory records. Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university in a biology/medical related field or associate’s degree from a 2 year college required. ASCP certified or eligible. Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred.

Full Time Positions include:

*Overnight shift – NO Weekends

This position is offered in three (3), 12 hour shifts per week (4 DAYS OFF PER WEEK), or a traditional 7.5 hour overnight shift, 5 days per week. Must be competent across all Lab areas.

*Normal shift rotation

This position requires the performance of a variety of duties to provide nursing care effectively and efficiently for individuals in various life stages. Comply with internal policies and procedures and applicable external regulatory requirements. Coordinate work within the department as well as with other departments. Minimum Diploma of Nursing required. Current PA RN License required. CPR, ACLS, PALS Certifications and Dysrhythmia Course preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date or enrolled in next available course. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

Registered Nurse – Home Health

This position is responsible for providing total patient care for each home health patient that is based on the individual patient care plan and medical care plan with appropriate age-specific assessments, interventions, evaluation and care implementation. CSS Medical Center at Windber is seeking a full time Ultrasound Tech with Rad tech experience preferred. Able to perform Ultrasound and X-Rays, under the direction of a physician, is responsible for performing ultrasound in an ACR accredited laboratory, including general, vascular & cardiac procedures. ARDMS registered or eligible, with registry achieved within 6 months of hire.

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Medical Center by, cleaning, gathering municipal and infectious waste, and supplying linens for patient care. Also responsible for outside maintenance of grounds and ensuring aseptic conditions in all patient care areas. High school diploma and 2 years experience in hospital setting required. Buffing, rinse VAC, and scrubbing machine experience preferred.

Phlebotomist

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Laboratory Customer Service tasks. Acts as a clerk for the laboratory and effectively performs specimen collection procedures. This position will travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and off-site draw locations. Must be a graduate of an approved Phlebotomy Training Program and have 1 year experience in a hospital or nursing home environment. Must have geriatric and pediatric skills and be able to perform heelstick on newborns. Computer skills required. Must rotate weekends, shifts and holidays. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, valid registration and insurance.

Registration of Emergency Room, In-Patient and Out-Patient area patients. Obtain and process correct physician orders, insurance information and consents for patients. Collect required co-pays, answer phone calls, make patients feel welcome providing excellent customer service. Evening and weekend rotations required. Experience with various health insurances and medical office experience helpful. Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and computer skills required.

Social Worker – Early Intervention

This position oversees patient and family needs through discharge planning. Provides counseling to assist with emotional needs related to all aspects of hospital care. Acts as liaison between the physician, patient, and family. Bachelor’s degree in social work required. Valid Social Work license required. Valid PA driver’s license required. Two years related experience and/or training preferred.

This position interprets, prepares and verifies all patient medication orders and oversees their preparation. As such, the staff pharmacist supervises the preparation of and/or prepares unit dose medications, out-patient prescriptions and IV mixtures. Monitors procedures for control and distribution of controlled substances. Reviews patient records for correct pharmacotherapy. Orders necessary supplies and/or drugs as needed. Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required. IV compounding and hospital experience preferred.
