Full Time Positions

Charge Nurse – Wing III

This position must assume responsibility of meeting patient needs effectively and efficiently by applying complete nursing care to assigned patients. Care must be provided through all life stages of ages in medical, surgical, and telemetry areas of nursing. This position is responsible for the collaboration with physicians & interdisciplinary team, discharge planning and ensuring and providing direction and oversight to other staff members regarding patient care and adherence to regulatory agency standards. Graduate from an approved school of nursing and minimum diploma of nursing required. Current, valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License required. CPR / BLS, PALS preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and Dysrythmia preferred. Second Shift Position 1-9, 2-10, or 3-11.

Hospital Supervisor

This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the delivery of patient care from 3pm-7am, Monday through Friday and 24 hours on weekends and holidays. Oversees and coordinates the final staffing for the following shift and adjusts staffing for current shift as census/acuity warrants. Acts as administrative representative, interpreting and enforcing established policies and procedures for all hospital departments. This individual is held accountable for demonstrating high standards of general conduct and professional performance at all times. Current PA Registered Nurse license required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; BSN required within 5 years after acceptance of position. ACLS & PALS required within 6 months. Minimum of one year of current acute care nursing experience, critical care experience preferred. Supervisory and/or managerial experience preferred.

CRNP – JMBCC

This position has the responsibility of assessing patients at all stages of breast cancer and those at high risk for development of breast cancer; providing clinical care to these patients under direct and indirect physician supervision; educate on prevention & general breast health for all patients; assist breast surgeon with procedures. Master’s degree from four year college or university required. Current Pennsylvania Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner License required. CPR required.

CRNP or PA-C – WindberCare Physicians

Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber seeks a full-time CRNP or PA-C for physician’s office, outpatient work only. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive health care to patients in collaboration with the physician including medical evaluation, treatment, counseling & referrals. ACLS, BLS required. CRNP candidate should have a Master’s degree from four year college & current PA Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner License. Experience in Family Practice Medicine preferred. PA-C candidate should be certified from an accredited PA program, Family Practice Medicine experience preferred.

Senior Staff Accountant

The primary function of this job is the accurate and timely preparation and maintenance of the hospital’s various financial accounting journals, ledgers, and supporting records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals. This position is also responsible for working with the 3rd party payroll vendor to complete payroll processing. Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in accounting from a four-year college or university is required. Three to five years related experience and/or training is preferred.

Director Acute Care Services

CSSMCW is seeking a full-time Director of Acute Care Services. This key position is responsible and accountable for all activities related to the 24-hour clinical and administrative management of acute care services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The Director of Acute Care works collaboratively with other nurse leaders in the development of patient care policies and procedures to meet all requirements, establishes a cohesive and collaborative nursing team through active leadership, and is responsible for quality improvement, efficient and effective use of resources, as well as compliance with regulations pertinent to CCU and Wing III. BSN required, master’s degree preferred, valid RN license and BLS required, and minimum 5 years nursing management experience in Acute Care setting required. ACLS required, or must be obtained within six months of employment.

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Under general supervision, performs a variety of professional nursing, technical and administrative duties as they relate to the cardiac catheterization lab. Perform scrub, circulate and hemodynamic monitoring duties with cardiac catheterizations using clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols. Provides care, assessment prior, during and post-procedural instruction to patients. Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures. Current, valid PA RN license required. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is preferred. BLS and ACLS certification required. 1-2 years Cath Lab and/or interventional radiology experience is preferred. 2-3 years ICU and/or ED experience is required. Must be fluent in medical terminology; Ability to use radiographic equipment and handle patients who present in a variety of conditions. Knowledge of cardiology, electrophysiology and pacemaker and related equipment preferred.

CNA – Hospice Home Care

This position is responsible for providing basic patient nursing care and select services to patients within their home setting. This position is responsible for providing for the patient’s needs and comfort. High school diploma or GED and Completion of a Nurse Aide training course required. Valid Pa Nurse Aide certification, current CPR certification and valid PA drivers’ license required. This position is Monday-Friday day shift with minimal after hours and weekend work required.

Registered Nurse – Wing III

Monitor Technician – Wing III

This position is responsible for observation, interpretation, and documentation for inpatients on Wing 3. Communicates the appropriate rhythm trending reports to the primary nurse. Practices in accordance with organizational policies. Graduate of an Allied Health Program, in which the curriculum included education and /or experience in rhythm interpretation or graduate of an accredited Registered/Practical Nursing Program or Bachelors of Medicine required. Prior completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Course or successful completion within 60 days of hire. Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation certification is preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire.

Medical Assistant – Windbercare Physicians

This position is responsible for clerical duties as well as providing clinical care to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Candidate must be able to schedule appointments for the providers and patients in the office and at the hospital, answer the telephone and properly utilize the answering service, prepare reports and forwarded to appropriate parties, assist with patient clinical needs when they call or when they report to the office and maintain responsibility for records and billing. Graduate of medical assistant program required. Three to six months related experience preferred.

Centralized Scheduler

This position is responsible for scheduling out-patients for various departments throughout the facility. The scheduler will follow very specific protocols in scheduling patients including, but not limited to, reviewing physician orders for diagnosis, signature and scheduling instructions, verification of insurance, prior authorization requirements and medical necessity review. The scheduler utilizes customer service skills to assure that patients have all the information they need so that they arrive on time and prepared and all of the information required to bill properly for its services. Graduation from high school or equivalent is required. Completion of a medical terminology course within six months of employment as a scheduler. Two year’s experience in patient scheduling or closely related field. Hospital patient registration or physician office scheduling/patient registration experience preferred. Experience in customer service is desirable.

Certificate/diploma in Medical Billing/Coding preferred.

Registered Nurse – Wing III

Med Tech or Med Lab Tech

This position is responsible for performing all Lab testing as authorized by the Lab Director to include proper procurement of blood, urine & other specimens on all age groups, maintenance of all laboratory equipment, daily quality control of all laboratory departments, and reporting & maintaining all laboratory records. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a biology/medical related field or associate’s degree from a two-year college required. ASCP certified required. Minimum 2 years experience preferred. Must rotate shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must be competent across all Lab areas.

Registered Nurse – Emergency

This position requires the performance of a variety of duties to provide nursing care effectively and efficiently for individuals in various life stages. Comply with internal policies and procedures and applicable external regulatory requirements. Coordinate work within the department as well as with other departments. Minimum Diploma of Nursing required. Current PA RN License required. CPR, ACLS, PALS Certifications and Dysrhythmia Course preferred at time of hire, required within 6 months of hire date or enrolled in next available course. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

Part Time Positions

Patient Accounting Representative / Biller

This position is responsible for ensuring that all bills are filed in a timely and compliant manner with the appropriate payor. This position is responsible for maximizing CSSMCW’s cash flow by following up with insurance companies and patients on unpaid balances. Also the primary contact with patients and is responsible for answering payment questions and resolving payment disputes in a friendly and professional manner. High school diploma or GED required. Certificate/diploma in Medical Billing/Coding preferred.

Phlebotomist

This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of Laboratory Customer Service tasks. Acts as a clerk for the laboratory and effectively performs specimen collection procedures. This position will travel to Skilled Nursing Facilities and off-site draw locations. Must be a graduate of an approved Phlebotomy Training Program and have 1 year experience in a hospital or nursing home environment. Must have geriatric and pediatric skills and be able to perform heelstick on newborns. Computer skills required. Must rotate weekends, shifts and holidays. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, valid registration and insurance.
