Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) has announced their award recipients for the 2022 calendar year.
The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide high quality service to their patients and hospice providers that consistently provide high quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care.
The award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall HHCAHPS survey satisfaction score for more than 2,500 home health providers and the overall CAHPS Hospice survey satisfaction score for more than 1,000 hospice providers. With the largest HHCAHPS benchmark and CAHPS Hospice benchmarks in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize home health organizations that have made patient satisfaction a priority and hospice organizations that have made family and caregiver satisfaction a priority.
“SHP is proud to present the SHPBest awards to our top-performing customers. We commend these organizations for their continuous focus on delivering the highest quality of care to their patients,” said Rob Paulsson, President of SHP.
The Windber Home Health staff is very proud to achieve this honor for the third time. They were previously recognized as a ‘Premier Performer’ in 2019 and 2021.
Director of Home Health Sara Bahorik, RN said, “Our home health team is truly the most dedicated and compassionate group of people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Our nurses, therapists, and aides go above and beyond for their patients and genuinely care about their health and recovery. To be so highly recognized by our patients for the care we give is an absolute honor.”
The Windber Hospice staff is very honored to achieve this designation for the second time, after first being recognized for the 2021 calendar year.
Director of Hospice Ginger Taylor, RN said, “This honor is a tribute to the care given by each person on our Windber Hospice team. Every member of our staff goes above and beyond to provide the best care for our hospice patients on a daily basis. Knowing that we have made a difference in the lives of our patients and families and also provided the support that helped families through the loss of their loved one is the greatest honor we can receive.”
These awards are based solely on patient and family/caregiver input, which is a true measure of the care that home health and hospice nurses provide. Windber Home Health and Windber Hospice strive to care for patients in a manner that goes above and beyond expectations.
