1. What is your specialty?
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner.
2. Why did you want to become a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)?
I went into this field because my mother was a nurse. I always enjoyed her stories from work (identifiers excluded). She worked with pediatric patients.
3. What is one aspect of the job that you find rewarding?
One aspect that I find rewarding is making someone who is ill smile. I also love the staff and work environment at the office.
4. In your opinion, what’s the future of your field?
The nurse practitioner field will continue to grow as the physician shortage expands. We can see patients on our own and in collaboration with physicians.
5. What do you do to achieve work/life balance?
I like to spend time with family and friends. I also like to spend time in the outdoors despite multiple tick bites and poison ivy exposure.
