All during the month of October, an area restaurant chain is offering its customers in Johnstown and Altoona the chance to enjoy a special treat and help in the fight against breast cancer at the same time.

Panera Bread brought back its pink ribbon bagels for the month of in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Emily Lutz, Panera’s marketing coordinator, said, “Everyone is usually touched by someone who has had breast cancer at some point in their life, so we’ve found all of our customers have really enjoyed supporting something, and it goes back to a local cause.”
