WindberCare Physicians is pleased to welcome Candice Widuch-Mert, MD. She began seeing patients at the Richland Community Health Center on August 22, joining David Bencie, MD; Dr. Teresa Malec, DO; Julie Lesneski, CRNP; and Lisa Partsch, CRNP.
Dr. Widuch-Mert provides personalized, quality care for patients of all ages – from birth to end of life – with a special interest in pediatrics and women’s health, including contraceptive management.
Having recently completed a local residency program, Dr. Widuch-Mert is up-to date on the most current practices, procedures, and innovative medicine.
“I’m thrilled to be staying in the Johnstown area. I look forward to all that the future holds for Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber and WindberCare Physicians,” she said.
Originally from Philadelphia, Dr. Widuch-Mert is fluent in Polish and attended medical school at Jagiellonian University School of Medicine in Krakow, Poland. She then worked in England, specializing in family medicine.
She is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Widuch-Mert lives in the Johnstown area with her husband and two children.
