LPN OR Medical Assistant - WindberCare Physicians

This position is to provide nursing care to patients of the WindberCare Physician practice. Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting physician with all aspects of patient needs for the office visit, phone triage, office visit intake, vital signs, injections, EKG's, counseling patients with medication and/or prescriptions, perform various office testing as ordered by the physician, scheduling test procedures & obtaining authorizations if needed, process laboratory specimens, maintain patient drug information, maintain office equipment, and perform various clerical functions as needed in the day-to-day operation of the office. Current, valid LPN license and CPR certification is required. One year related experience and/or training is preferred. OR This position is responsible for clerical duties as well as providing clinical care to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Candidate must be able to schedule appointments for the providers and patients in the office and at the hospital, answer the telephone and properly utilize the answering service, prepare reports and forwarded to appropriate parties, assist with patient clinical needs when they call or when they report to the office and maintain responsibility for records and billing. Graduate of medical assistant program required. Three to six months related experience preferred.
