Windber Home Health has been recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for achieving an overall patient experience score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP clients for the 2024 calendar year.
The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide high quality service to their patients. The 2024 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall experience score for more than 3,200 home health providers. With the largest HHCAHPS benchmark in the nation, SHP is in a unique position to identify and recognize organizations that have made patient experience a priority and have been rewarded for their efforts with high marks on the HHCAHPS survey.

This marks the fifth time Windber Home Health has earned national recognition for excellence in patient experience. The agency was previously honored as a Premier Performer in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023. (Data for year 2020 was omitted due to COVID-19.) While the recognition level varies based on year-to-year national benchmarks, Windber Home Health continues to rank among the best-performing home health agencies in the country, consistently reflecting the dedication and compassion of its team.
These awards are based solely on patient and family/caregiver input, which is a true measure of the care that home health team provides. Windber Home Health strives to care for patients in a manner that goes above and beyond expectations.
