What is the Pelvic Floor?

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that form a supportive “hammock” at the bottom of the pelvis. The pelvic floor muscles control bowel and bladder function, support pelvic organs, and play a role in core stability. When the pelvic floor muscles don’t work well together, kids can experience leaks, constipation, or discomfort.
