PRP uses a concentrated portion of your own blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, to support your body’s natural healing process. Following an evaluation, your orthopedic provider will determine whether PRP may be an appropriate treatment option for your condition.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is created from a small sample of your own blood. After the blood is processed, the platelet-rich portion is separated and injected into the treatment area.
Platelets are best known for helping blood clot, but they also contain growth factors that play an important role in the body’s natural healing process. By concentrating these platelets, PRP delivers them directly where healing support is needed.

PRP treatment is typically completed during a single office visit.
Step 1 – A small sample of your blood is drawn.
Step 2 – The blood is placed in a specialized centrifuge that separates the platelet-rich plasma from the other blood components.
