1. What is your specialty area?
I am a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. I specialize in providing comprehensive care for women throughout their lives. My focus is on adolescent care, fertility and contraception counseling, gynecologic care, conditions related to menopause, health care management, and disease prevention.

2. Why did you want to become a nurse practitioner?
I am passionate about the health of the women in my community and helping them in the many aspects of their lives. Women’s health and gynecology is often an area that women feel uncomfortable discussing. I want to create an environment for women to get the help and guidance they need. Becoming a nurse practitioner allows me to develop trusting, long-lasting relationships with my patients, and encourage women to live healthy lives.

3. What is one aspect of the job that you find rewarding?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is the people that I get to meet and care for. I love seeing women in the community feel empowered with their health and watching it overflow into the other areas of their life.

4. In your opinion, what is the future of your field?
The future of my field is the young women that I care for. These are the patients that are the next generation of women that will set an example to others and inspire healthy lifestyles to other women in the community.

5. What do you do to achieve work/life balance?
I love spending time outdoors with my kids, traveling to new places, and learning new things!
