National Nurses Month 2020

Nurses Month 2020 Florence Nightingale

As part of the “Year of the Nurse and Midwife” celebration, the American Nurses Association expanded National Nurses Week, traditionally celebrated from May 6 to May 12 each year, to a month-long celebration in May, giving us more opportunities to celebrate nursing.

National Nurses Month is a time for everyone – individuals, employers, other health care professionals, community leaders, and nurses – to recognize the vast contributions and positive impact of America’s 4 million registered nurses.

During National Nurses Month, we would like to extend a special thanks to you, our nurses, as you continue to provide the highest level of quality care to your patients. You deserve special recognition for your efforts in delivering compassionate care while embodying the principles of ethical practice in your profession. You make a difference.
