Windber Medical Center Laboratory has been providing the highest quality care to patients throughout the region for more than 50 years and have recently become a Designated Planetree Patient-Centered Hospital.
The laboratory performs testing 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assure that your test results will be available in a timely fashion.

Expertise
Experienced phlebotomists perform safe and professional lab sampling, and a specialized team of phlebotomists is also available to provide in-home services to home-bound patients.
The laboratory provides comprehensive testing in the areas of chemistry, hematology, serology, microbiology and blood bank. In addition to our onsite capabilities, we have established long-term associations with excellent secondary reference laboratories to provide esoteric testing in the areas of virology, toxicology, cytogenetics and molecular biology.
Outreach

Accreditation and Insurance

Additional Information
Laboratory out-patients should report to registration upon arrival. A written physicians order is required for all laboratory tests.
No appointment is necessary.
The written physician order may be sent to the lab by your physician in advance of your visit, or you may bring the order with you. All written orders are required to contain the names of the tests and the reason for each test, such as the diagnosis or symptoms of your illness. Please bring photo identification and your insurance card for registration.
