IN-HOME CARE
Years ago, most medical care was provided in the home. From giving birth to treating illness to end-of-life, patients were able to be with their families in comfortable surroundings. As medicine advanced, care moved increasingly to doctor’s offices and hospitals. Eventually, the majority of terminally-ill patients found themselves spending their last days in dreary hospital rooms, far from the comforts of home.
The WindberCare Hospice program provides a perfect balance of old and new, bringing expert medical care and family support services into the home where patients to rest in comfortable surroundings.
Specifically, in-home hospice care includes regular visits by Nurses, Nurses Aides and Volunteers, all under the supervision of a physician.
