All patients presenting to the medical center for testing, treatment, or evaluation will be registered by a registration clerk. Registration clerks are deployed at various locations throughout the medical center: Central Registration, Emergency Department, Outpatient Laboratory, Ambulatory Services Department, Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center, ICHP Program,1st Floor Registration, and the Alum Bank Community Health Center.

Central Registration: Open Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Processes registration for walk-in patients for any outpatient department, direct admission, or observation patients from physician offices. Assists with registration of brought-in specimens.

Emergency Department: Open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Processes all emergency department registrations, admissions, and observation patients evaluated first in the ED. Also processes any type of patient registration on a prn basis and when other registration areas are closed, except for the following specialized areas: Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center, ICHP Program, and Alum Bank Community Health Center.

Ambulatory Services Department: Open Monday - Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Processes registrations for scheduled ambulatory services department patients, as well as, all patients on the surgery schedule for that particular day. Assists with registration of brought-in specimens.

Outpatient Laboratory: Open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. Processes registrations for walk-in laboratory patients, as well as, brought-in specimen registrations.

Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center:
Registration functions are open all hours of operation for the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center. Registration staff process registrations for physician office visits and specialist visits at the JMBCC, as well as, radiologic studies and minimally invasive procedures done at the Center.

Alum Bank Community Health Center: Registration functions are open all hours of operation for the Alum Bank Community Health Center. Registration staff process registrations for all services provided at the Alum Bank Community Health Center.

1st Floor Registration: Open Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Processes registrations for walk-in patients for any outpatient departments and direct admission/observation patients from physician offices. Assists with registration of brought in specimens.
