Gastroenterology Doctors Join Medical Staff at CSSMCW

Shashi Kumar, MD (pictured below, left) and Mohammad Javad Saadat, MD (pictured below, right) have joined the medical staff at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber, where they will perform gastroenterologic procedures, such as colonoscopies and endoscopies.

Kumar earned his medical degree from Banaras Hindu University Institute of Medicine in Varanasi, India. He completed an internal medicine residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Metropolitan Hospital in Ohio. Kumar is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine and has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years. He has extensive experience in therapeutic endoscopy and the management of liver disease.

Saadat earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Montserrat of the British West Indies. He completed a general surgery residency at Robert Packer Hospital – Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pa. Saadat is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine and has been practicing medicine for nearly 25 years.

Kumar and Saadat join Peter Bertin, DO and Taesun Moon, DO, FACOS, FASMBS who also perform colonoscopies and endoscopies.
