The
Windber HealthCare Foundation would like to thank everyone that
sponsored and participated in the 25th Annual Golf Spirit Classic
at Windber Country Club with 162 golfers and numerous donations to make this year's event a
big success. Even though the day was not as sunny and dry as we had
hoped, all the golfers spent the day enjoying some friendly
competition. At the end of the day, the top five teams were honored.
As a foundation our goal is to help sustain the ongoing care and
unique programs here at Windber Medical Center. Community support is
vital to supporting specific programs, technology and facility
improvements that advance our mission by providing exceptional
healthcare for life, "Through community support, we are able to
provide healthcare services that might not otherwise be available in
our community," said Kimberly Oleksa, Director of Foundations.
This year's event raised $32,000 to benefit the Windber Medical
Center Emergency Room Expansion Project, which will allow us to
continue to build a healthier future for the communities in which we
